VISION
To create an exciting and competitive pre-season tournament that offers teams valuable game time against diverse opponents—helping them prepare for the season ahead. This annual event brings together coaches, managers, parents, and officials from across the football family, fostering connection, collaboration, and community. It’s a celebration of passion, potential, and love for the game, grounded in the values of Respect, Friendship, and Fair Play.
PREAMBULE
By participating in the Pre Season Cup, all the teams undertake to respect the values of the event (Respect - Friendship and Fair Play), throughout the competition.

Games: All teams play 6 games

u8, u9 mixed + u9 girls: 7-a-side
u10 - u12 mixed and girls: 9-a-side

The PRE SEASON CUP (PSC) 2027 is organised by Next Generation Football with the support of Central Coast Council.
Team and Player Registration Conditions
All registrations are subject to the acceptance of the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of the Pre Season Cup. The Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of the Pre Season Cup may be updated at any timed the most recent version available in the Cup Manager Registration System.
Team and Player registration requirements:-
All members of the football family are eligible to participate in the Pre Season Cup 2027; Clubs, Schools and Academies.
Team Managers are to provide a team sheet to the Pre Season Cup Organisers within the required timelines prior to the tournament.
Players are required to be registered into the Cup Manager tournament registration system in order to play in the Pre Season Cup.
1) Players full name,
2) Players date of birth,
3) Player's unique shirt number to be entered into the Cup Manager program,
4) Player proof of age - ID cited and approved as requested
Player registrations will be processed and approved by the Pre Season Cup Organisers prior to a player being able to play in the tournament.
The Registration of Players is mandatory and must be undertaken in line with the timelines set by the tournament organisers. There is no allowance for any overage players.
Players are allowed to play up to 2 years up at the discretion and responsibility of the team's coach and player's parents in respect to the player's ability and physicality.
A player may register to play in more than 1 team during the tournament. Teams who field players who are not registered to their team/age category will lose all points for that game.
The team registration fee covers a maximum of;
7-a-side football - 10 players
9-a-side football - 12 players
11-a-side football - 16 players
Additional players can be registered at an additional cost.
Game times
The game duration is
7-a-side football - 20 minutes
9-a-side football - 20 minutes
11-a-side football - 30 minutes
The game duration has no break and no change of ends.
Teams are to play to the official buzzer, the official time keeper and score are managed by the tournament officials. Any scores or times kept by our media parters for livestream are indicative only and not the offical.
All teams will play 6 games.
Wristbands
The Team Manager will be provided with wristbands registered players in each team. All players are required to wear their wristband to be eligible to play.
Team Kits
Teams are required to wear team uniforms and should have a home and an away strip. In case a team does not have an away kit the team officials must bring a set of bibs to use in case of a colour clash - bibs will not be provided by the tournament organisers.
Communication
The main contact for the team is the person registering their team into Cup Manager. Additional Team Officials (Manager/Coach) are to be added into Cup Manager for their team. The Pre Season Cup Organisers will communicate with Team Officials contacts via email, the Team Officials can then disseminate the information to their teams. Parents and supporters are to contact their Team Officials for information rather than the Pre Season Cup Officials. In the case that player emails have been entered into Cup Manager, the Pre Season Cup Organisers may send out important news announcements such as the draw, presentation ceremony details.
Managers and Coaches Meeting - will take place at the beginning of the tournament. All registered teams officials are required to attend. This is also the opportunity for coaches and managers to ask questions. Due to restricted space, no players or children are to attend the meeting.
Team Registration Packs - to be collected by a registered Team Official from the Pre Season Cup Managers Hub after the Managers and Coaches Meeting.
Team Official Accreditations - These are required for FIELD ACCESS: ONLY PLAYERS and 3 OFFICIALS wearing their Accreditation are allowed onto the field, Bench, Penalty Zone, Warm Up Zone or Technical area. ALL OTHER SUPPORTERS ARE TO BE BEHIND THE FENCE.
It is very important for Team Officials to inform their parents and supporters of the above rule. Let the children play. Its only a game! Let’s Them Play! No non-playing children on the bench.

Pre Season Cup Tournament Insurance and Liability
The Pre Season Cup is an insured tournament with a public liability policy.
The Pre Season Cup Players are to ensure they have their own medical coverage.
The Pre Season Cup, its contractors, employees and volunteers are not liable for any injuries, loss or damage arising from attendance or participation in the activities they provide, players are not covered for any personal injuries.

The Team Officials will ensure that all their team members and supporters onsite will be made aware of the venue’s rules, people violating these rules will be asked to leave the site. The venue’s rules include:-
No smoking on site
No alcohol consumption onsite
The NSW Government’s child safety and Working with Children policies to be adhered to.
Rubbish to be placed in bins provided
No equipment to be moved by any person unless authorised by Pre Season Cup 2027 officials. This includes tournament equipment and furniture from the onsite rooms.
All officials, players, parents and supporters are to encourage Fair Play and show respect for others.
No supporters on the pitch, this space is reserved for Players and Team Officials.
Additional venue rules may be communicated to Team Officials in due course.
Working with Children
All teams are to ensure that all of its relevant employees, volunteers or contractors who are involved in the Pre Season Cup have all necessary clearances for working with children, and conduct themselves within the working with children guidelines.
Pre Season Cup Payment Policy
In the case your pre-registration is accepted, you will be required to pay a $300 non refundable Team Entry fee to validate your invitation. 3 Team Officials (2 Coaches and 1 Manager) are covered under the Team Entry Fee.
The Player Registration fees are as follows and payable through the Cup Manager platform
A team is only fully registered once full payment is received.
Refunds Policy
The Pre Season Cup has a no refund policy on deposit, player registration and additional player registration fees.
Weather Related Tournament Policy
Safety permitting, every attempt will be made to play a scheduled tournament game. This may require that games be relocated to fields that are more suitable for the weather conditions. If it is not possible to play because of unsafe weather conditions, game(s) may be rescheduled, game time reduced or cancelled.
Cancellation Policy
We will try our best to reschedule and may modify the format of play to allow games to go ahead. However, due to circumstance beyond our control, either man-made or act of God, the tournament may have to be shortened, postponed or cancelled. All decisions regarding cancellations, schedule modifications and cancellation are at the sole discretion of the tournament director. The Pre Season Cup will not be responsible for any loss arising from shortening, postponing or cancelling the Pre Season Cup tournament.

The Pre Season Cup may collect personal information about you when you interact with us. Generally, the types of personal information collected by the Pre Season Cup include:

your contact details, including email address, postal address and telephone number.
Information you provide to us and your opinion on something, for example when making a complaint, submission, general enquiry or assisting us with our inquiries or investigations, may also be your personal information.
What if I don’t want to share my personal information with you?
If you do not wish to provide the Pre Season Cup with your personal information, you may contact us anonymously, or by using a pseudonym. By remaining anonymous, or by using a pseudonym, we may be limited in our ability to respond to or make further enquiries regarding your complaint, submission or enquiry with us.
Do you collect sensitive information?
In some instances, we will request sensitive information. We will only do this where it is relevant to our statutory functions and activities, for example if it is necessary to ensure a player is playing in the correct age category, or in administering the Consumer Data Right, we need information about you as a fit and proper person to process your registration.
Where we do request sensitive information, we will explain to you why we need it. We can only collect sensitive information with your consent except as otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act.
In some instances, we may ask for sensitive information but make it optional. This means that you do not need to provide it if you don’t want to. In other circumstances, you may voluntarily provide us with sensitive information that we require to run the tournament.
What if I want my personal information removed later?
If you provide your personal information to us, and later request us to remove your personal information from our systems, we may be limited in our ability to do so due to our legal obligations to maintain records.
How personal information is collected
Your personal information may be collected through various means, either directly from you or from third parties.
We may only solicit and collect personal information:
for a lawful purpose that is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, one or more of our functions or activities by lawful and fair means.
In addition, we can only collect sensitive information with your consent, unless an exception applies under the Privacy Act.
From a third party
The Pre Season Cup may receive personal information about you from a third party. The personal information provided by third parties in these circumstances is often your name and contact details.
If the Pre Season Cup receives personal information about you from a third party, and this information is relevant to our work, we will take reasonable steps in the circumstances to notify you of certain matters about that collection. However please note that in some circumstances, it may be reasonable for us not to notify you.
Providing us with personal information about a third party
If you choose to provide us with the personal information of a third party for example a player, please ensure you have the consent of the individual concerned before sharing it with us.

We may collect personal information directly from you. This could include when you:
subscribe to our app — we use a third party service Cup Manager to manage our Tournament.
communicate with us via social media platforms — we use social media platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook and YouTube
complete an online form or make a submission to us
send us an email
call our offices
send correspondence to any our offices
respond to a request to participate in a survey, consultation or study
apply for jobs with us.
How personal information is used and disclosed
The Pre Season Cup can only use or disclose personal information for the particular purpose for which it was collected, unless one of the following applies:
we obtain the individual’s consent to use personal information for a different purpose (that is, a secondary purpose)
the individual would reasonably expect us to use or disclose their personal information for a secondary purpose, and that purpose is related to the primary purpose of collecting (or, for sensitive information, directly related to the primary purpose) the personal information
the secondary use or disclosure is required or authorised by or under an Australian law or a court/tribunal order
the Pre Season Cup reasonably believes that the secondary use or disclosure is reasonably necessary for one or more enforcement related activities conducted by, or on behalf of, an enforcement body (including the Pre Season Cup)
another exception in Australian Privacy Principle 6 applies.
Use of personal information
In the context of our statutory functions and activities, if the Pre Season Cup receives information in relation to a particular matter — for example, an investigation into a particular registered person — and that information is relevant to another matter, we may use that information in the context of that other matter subject to any legal requirement to the contrary. Likewise, we may use personal information received in relation to one matter for another matter, if relevant to that other matter, subject to any legal requirements to the contrary.

external service providers who we engage to assist us with our functions.
There may be circumstances where the Pre Season Cup is legally required to disclose information (and this may involve personal information). In most cases, we will endeavour to notify and consult any individuals whose personal information may be disclosed about the proposed release of the information.
Where information is disclosed to a third party we will, to the extent reasonably possible, ensure that the third party is subject to the requirements of the Privacy Act or otherwise take steps to ensure that the third party meets our obligations under the Privacy Act, such as including obligations in our contracts.
To request access to your personal information, please complete the enquiry webform. When making your request, please provide sufficient information to enable us to identify records held by us that contain your personal information and to verify that the information contained in the records is your personal information.
We will provide you access to your personal information except in certain circumstances where we are not required to by law.
